Seems to me that the majority of 'pensioners' are a lot more intelligent than all you young ones on here. The ones I know have houses that cost 2p and now worth 250,000, no credit card debt, 2 cars in the drive way (all paid for) 6 weeks holiday a year. their children all honest law abiding adults with good jobs and further more I have seen them wearing blues, pinks, white, orange, yellow and not an incontinent pad in sight.

Legend I agree about some of them. I always remember about 2 years ago Me and Mrpuss and 2 friends went to a 40s/50s do for a weekend in the Isle of Wight. All drinks were 1 old penny (really) what happened was you went to the bar and paid 1p decimal currency but there was a jar on the bar and you could put in extra for the bar staff (tips) We usually put a couple of quid in the jar because we were ordering....1 white wine...1gin and tonic(double)...1 rum and coke (double) 1 pint of bitter so that would usually cost about 10 or there abouts. Anyway this old guy in front of me at the bar got 2 halves of lager and was fumbling about in his pocket until he found a 2p piece, he was about 90 years old, these two were on the next table to us and they sat all night watching the entertainment etc which was brilliant and it cost them the grand total of 2p.
