Update for those interested

Thanks to everyone who gave me support last week, as you may remember, my father has cancer. The doctors confirmed it is bowel cancer and he begun chemotherapy a few days ago. Its a different chemo though as they have given him pills, to take at home, and told not to go in public places and take care of metallic surfaces as they produce a slight electric shock to him, because of all the chemicals inside his body. Strange.

I didn't know your father has cancer - but sorry to hear that's the case. My sister-in-law had the same problem, but recovered, so hope this happens for your dad.

Sorry to hear your father is ill, my mother-in-law has had bowel cancer twice, the most recent and most serious being last year and she has recovered after extensive treatment. I wish him and you and your family well.

Sorry the above answer sounds weird now - meant to put as well that my dad got shocks from metal along with the taste of metal - very odd.
