A young friend of mine has jus been diagnosed.
Has anyone experienced this and had treatment. If so, what did you have and did you manage to have children?
She is really upset as she wants a family in the future.
Thank you for any help or advice you could give us.

i have sufford from this and had to have an operation due to the pain and cysts growing, they thought they would have to remove an overie but luck had it they never im still having on going treatment for the problem, im 29 and also dont have children but this problem should not change any chances of having them,
I no what your friend must be going through because i also have been through it, your friend needs to get it seen to before it gets worse as that is what happened to me thats why i might of lost an overie.
Good luck to your m8

i also suffer from PCOS, I dont have children yet but am hopeful that i will soon, it is possible to conceive naturally, but can be difficult if ovulation doesnt occur frequently if at all. its important to remember that achieving pregnancy is not impossible.the first line of treatment to aid ovulation is a drug called clomid, i'm due to start the treatment next year when the timing is better, my consultant believes that it can be very effective, He also recommends losing just 5% of body fat. there is also a wealth of information available on the internet if you do a search, including support groups, it helps to talk to people who are going through the same problem. the main thing is to not give up hope and to stay positive, stress will only make matters worse. i hope everything works out for her, hope this helps x
