taking my son on holiday

Hello, my mum is taking my son to disney land this weekend and it has just occured to me that we alll have different names.....will there be a problem my mum taking my son out of the country.. do I need to write some sort of letter giving my permission and should I give my mum mine and my sons birth certificates as i dont have the same surname as my mum and my son doesnt have the same surname as me....

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Yes he has a passport, but as he hasn't the same surname as myself or my mum ( im not going anyway) I was just a bit concerned that they maybe stopped if they thought he was being kidnapped?! ( I do like to panic about this sort of thing at the last minute). Yes he is going by eurostar and I have written a letter but will try and find out who they booked it with and call them...
