Okay, I know I'll probably be slaughtered for this one, but here goes:
Last night on QVC they were raising money for Breast Cancer Care - fabulous, money is needed no problem. But.. what about the less well known cancers? Okay not as many people may get it a year or even die from it but shouldn't there be just as much research and support? And, yes I do have a less well known cancer.

Howlie,
firstly, my best wishes for you and your fight against this viscious and unforgiving disease.

My father fought Non-hodgkins Lymphoma 5 times over 12 years and it eventually got him in 2000.
As a result I monhly donate to Imperial Cancer Research but I will always donate to charities when I have the chance. At the end of the day, you never know when you wll need their help yourself.

There are other 'pushes' for the lesser known cancer charities but I have to agree with you, they often never get the support they deserve.
You're welcome.

If you're already being treated and it's established what's causing them then it would be unlikely.

However if it's the start of treatment and the casue has not been established, then yes, possibly they would do more tests.

If you've very worried you could pay to have other tests done.

I'm not a doctor/nurse/clinical person in general although admittedly it is my business to know about cancer to some extent so I couldn't comment/recommend from an all knowing perspective I'm afraid.

I will add that cancer of the oesephagus is treatable too. Don't let fear stop you from asking questions.

Good luck.
Thank You China :)
My answer is already no to further tests. I'm the only one that would need to know and I don't need to know lol.
and no. I'm not frightened either :) my M.S is more than enough to deal with but I'm glad the tablets are working for the oesophagus. :)

Howlie, once again lots of smiles being sent your way :) xxx
