Hiding behind aliases

Why do people feel the need to make aliases to slag someone off? I have never understood it at all. I dont know why anyone who has something to say to someone wouldnt do it in their own name. If I were wanting to say something to someone I would do it in my own name so the person I was saying it to knew for a fact it was me saying it and didnt have to sit there playing some silly guessing game as to whether it actually me or not.

Hope that made sense.

Ooops, I meant Louisa. See I can't even read the flipping names right let alone remember who is who and who likes who and who doesn't!

My poor little brain!
Oh yeah, agree Octavius- and i do see your logic. It's just I'm a simple creature (stop laughing!) and i can't help but react when someone's being nasty to me. I might be telling myself "stop typing now ya silly cow"....but sadly that message never reaches my fingers and I carry on defending myself.

yep me and you both boo, only I think a stronger word than cow lol
I think a lot of women need alias's for when they ask personal questions, so they are good thing sometimes.
Also,I think if you got the ED to check alias's , she would find that its mostly women with them, or guys with femininity...
Why would it mostly be women Mr Ben ? I don't agree if i had a personal question i would still use my username to ask it nobody knows who i am so it wouldn't make any difference.
Pixi remember our chat about mushrooms?

we have about 7,000 so far!
Yes, that is true, but some people - but not you CD - don't like the idea of getting a 'has the rash cleared' or 'how is your low-life cheating bar steward boyfriend these days' or 'are you pregnant and which of the two men in your threesome was the father' questions thrown up in random topics months down the line.

Fortunately or unfortunately some people - yes you CD - can remember one indiscretion months and months down the line. Can't say I have ever done it under an alias but I can see MrBens point. Usually though, those ones are not nasty, just being cautious.
That wasn't an indiscretion, that was just from one concerned pixel to another. Do give Rover a pat for me though ;0P

I don't deal in stupidity in my everyday life. I won't deal with it on here. Frankly, nobody who actually knows me would ever dare to try and bait me the way bogey and smeg tried to. It'd go down as 'not a good idea.' I'm told I can be 'cutting.'

Also I think a bit of it is down to 'prooving yoursel.' Again, don't need to prove myself to people I know and not going to do it on here either.

I'm a nice person. Occasionally scatty, often grumpy, usually funny. That's it. I worry about lots of things in my life (mostly to do with my big mouth) but insults from kids on the streets/people I don't give too hoots about/cyber abuse is never going to be one of them. :0)
I dont get it either.

You have a user name you log in and you post.

People pretending to be others and having multiple user ID's I dont get and find them rather sad as they must have rather empty lives if they have nothing better to do.

There also seem to be a few they know who they are) whose comments about other AB'ers i find appalling so jsut do as I do and report them.
Wow Rev, this maturity of yours is almost attractive. Almost. ;0P
Can i just say that when they do invent these aliases, they are normally the ones that get the highest number of posts, so i think thats why they do it, they ove to cause a stir and it works cos everyone posts on them.

I have this theory that they invent a person and what the do i.e student or whatever and chose them to be rude or arrogent or friendly etc., i reackon whoever it is just loves creating different personalities.

Gotta give it to them, it always works.

My posts at the most get to 40. And theirs get to well over a hundred if everyone just didnt post on them maybe it would stop.
Typically bad vocabulary there, pixi, somewhere in that sentence, you were lacking a comma or full stop. Period (LOL)
China I know you find me intriguing so just admit lol

it is Friday lol
How does my usual retort go? Oh yeah....

Not as intrigueing as you find me ;0P

Flirt.
quick word from me im off for lunch.
havent read that post yet been working.
i know wonders eh?

if i have anything to say.
i just say it .
i get followed by folk who hide behind aliases .
but i know thats because they are scared.
and probably are guilty of the disgusting things they accuse me of.

if i think someone has said something untrue about me here i will reply.
as is my right .
and as is anyone elses if they believe theyve been wronged.

ive never needed an alias as i can say it as legend .
the names the same just the numbers that change thats all.

anyway im off for a bacon and egg baguette.

Legend you are the biggest abuser on here and have more than one alias and you are the AB'er you posted a utube link to another user calling her a wh8re last week which got romoved.

unbelievable.
rev read the post.

HIDING BEHIND ALIASES.

i dony have any aliases.

anyone explain that to rev?

my point is i say what i think.

others that hide are cowards.

wouldnt you agree rev?
Rev & Legend...

How about not doing this?

Just a thought.

Log off, take a walk, have a sleep... I don't really care what you do. But why perpetuate?

It's Friday. Let it lie.
I take the attitude there is always ' one nutter on the bus' as Jasper Carrott used to say. I just ignore : as supernanny says their behaviours are un- ass- eptable ( lol) put them on the cyber naughty step. One persons erudite utterings ( in their own mind ) sound like the ravings of a madperson to someone else. If it's a genuine thread with well respected / behaved others then I am always up for a proper discussion, in my one and only user name. I like to play and banter, and generally love a good answerbank free for all, if you agrre to differ from my point of view that's the whole point of a discussion, so much the better!
china im agreeing with pix.
not here to argue

theres no point hiding when you can just say it straight out.
