Cherries, I have investigated the local Salsa scene from a distance. It's like line-dancing for the terminally depressed round here. The idea is good, but in practise, it would be like signing myself in to the sad club.
Cheries, I don't know what they are either and I'm not old. Or at least I don't think I am.
Hurkleho, maybe it is the amount you drink that makes you a bad dancer. I rarely see good, p*ssed dancers! I think you need to get some confidence and that would help loads.
I agree with Cheries, a salsa class would be really good fun and you'd meet new people and get fit and learn to get some rythm! X
I have two friends that started seperate salsa classes and both really enjoyed it (one was 29 and the other age mid 40s).
My local leisure centre does street dance classes now and apparently they're popular with people of all ages, they come out as I go into one of my classes and there's 2-3 late teens, and the rest and 20's, 30's and some 40's.
Its natural with me, on my honeymoon to the states we went on a mini-cruise for 4 nights to the Bahamas, and as you do, you meet x-amount of people and this black lady came up to me whilst i was dancing and asked me if i ''had black'' in me, i was waiting for the punchline and she said that i had natural rhythm in me like a black person and proceeded to shake some bootie until the wife came onto the dance floor. lol
So you could say i'm a white man in a black body. lol
