I found this site when I googled a gardening question in April? How did you find Answer Bank? I must admit I am slightly addicted. :)

Hi Knobby- It is 10:20pm. I guess the grass is always greener. I think you are lucky there. I love the idea of being able to pop into another country for a weekend. You all are always going on holiday. I imagine everyone lives these exciting lives and live in funky little apartments or in the country. I have never been, but obviously have been greatly influenced by TV and movies.

Why do you think I am so lucky? I do love living in NYC (not manhattan).

Knobby, Please tell Lippy you must come here. We are not all rude and brash. It is just those of us in NY.LOL and everyone here knows that all Floridians originated up North, so you will get it down there too. :)

Where would you like to come visit? I am ashamed to admit that I have never traveled away from the East Coast. There is so much to see. Manhattan is its own little land. i find it daunting at times, but do love its hustle and bustle.

Seeing the space shuttle must have been amazing. There are very beautiful undeveloped parts of the US and much to do. Jazz festivals in New Orleans, I loved Salem, MA (Home of the witch trials) beautiful National parks, etc.

If you and Lippy come to NY we'll go to the theatre. :) Though if you are on your honeymoon...........
Manhattan at Christmas, from a tourist perspective, can't be beat. It is like a movie with the lights and shopping etc.
You can look at apartments the size of shoeboxes that go for thousands per month in rent. :)

I shall be turning in soon, so we all can continue tomorrow. Go to bed knobby it is very late there!!!! Lippy must be wondering where you are.

ojread, I admire you for handing the children on the opposite end of their education than I do. I don't know if I could handle the little ones. If only those 3 year olds could learn to write a theme paper, my job would be so much easier. LOL

Leela, doing OK. busy with some home decorating moving issues. I am moving into the apartment downstairs with my sister so I can take on a renter to help with the house since mom passed. Pray for me, I hope I can go back to living with my sis. :) Other than that hanging in there.

EngTeach, how dare you say New Yorkers are rude? I am a New Yorker and have never been rude to anyone. Have you actually met ALL the people who live in New York.

NYC- I was being tounge in cheek as I too am a New Yorker. I like you nyc. We, of course, have that reputation. I am generally not a rude person.

I've been a member of AB for ages now. All my English cousins are ABers and they invited me. I don't post much because many folks on here complains about Americans in a negative way. So, I 'listen' to what everyone have to say. But I do like this site. Some of the members are hilarious. You take care! :-)
