i have got a 7 year old rescued border collie, got her when she was 9 months old, she has now got arthritis in her feet and legs, she takes rimadyl from the vets, but she now takes the maximum dose and her legs are worse than ever, she keeps lying down beacause she cant walk far, her toes are all bent to one side, i feel so sorry for her, i'll have to take her back to the vets to see if she can take anything else. has anybody else got this problem with their dog
hi we have a gsd x collie 13 1/2 years old she has 2 superflex-3 a day which i buy on line from AgeStop these are made up of glusosamine 1500mg, chondroitin 1200mg and msm 250mg the vet advised us to give her these (she was on rimadyl) she also has a cod liver oil and a cranberry tablet every day she also wears a bioflow collar hope this helps the result is not instant but after a couple of months there was a great difference and she no longer takes the rimadyl she has been on the superflex for 18 months now Ruthxxx
I have a blue merle - think thats a rough collie who has just turned 15. She's had some teeth out and has been put onto 50mg Rimadyl and Pardale, which seem to be helping her arthiritis.
My vet is fantastic with Tupp, have yours ever mentioned Aquatherapy which may help with the arthirits?
thank you all for your replys. ive been looking on the sites you gave me and the bio flow dog collar is quite expensive. has ayone got a second hand one i can buy off them please, or maybe if i could purchase just the magnets my hubby ( a upholsterer ) could sew them into a collar, i read that the magnets work better if put onto the spot where the pain is. so maybe hubby can make her some socks well, as its in her toes and ankles
