Out of curiosity, how do you catch it? Is it airborn, or for instance, if you drink from the same coffee cup as someone who had it do you catch it that way? Being sick is one of my worst nightmares and I have a real phobia of it, so when I found out it's going round at the moment I immediately started worrying.

I think it might be one of those that is caught by people not washing their hands after eating, they touch something like a shop door handle, you then walk along after and touch the same door handle and then eat using your fingers, so transferring the bacteria into your gut.
It is spread over the internet by a virus. Wearing Marigold gloves when typing answers is a sensible precaution.
I've mentioned this before, I am convinced that people who have such a pronounced aversion to vomiting have trained their higher centres to overcome the reflex. Therefore, even if you do get the bug, it is likely to affect you more at the lower end.

Common sense and scrupulous hygiene will help you to avoid it. It's the same as, if there is flu going around, avoid crowded steamed-up buses.

Thanks daffy, I think I'm pretty good when it comes to door handles and washing my hands etc, unfortunately that comes from years of having ocd.

ha ha gromit... Thanks whiffey, funnily enough, even though I caught the flu 2 years ago and was completely wiped out for an entire week, it still doesn't bother me like the sicky bug
Hi mountainboo
daffy is right with her answer. The sickness bug is transferred by people who have not washed their hands well enough. Also touching handles etc. that carries the bacteria.
Also by breathing in vomit fumes (say, if one of your children had it), hence why it tends to go round a whole household. Like you mountainboo, I have a terrible phobia of vomiting, whether it be myself, or someone else. I have been known to move to the other end of a bus because someone near me looked like they were feeling a bit ropey, I am soooo paranoid about it!!!
I wish what whiffey said was true but I had it about four years ago and it was by no means mild!
Will keep my fingers crossed for you if you'll do the same for me xx
Vomit fumes????????????
Well i didn't feel sick before I read that but I bl00dy well do now!!!!!!!!!
