5 x bars chocolate (Cadburys)
1 x hair conditioner bottle, rinsed out and filled with whisky (has to be an opaque bottle so they can't see the contents, I use herbal essences conditioner )
2 x porn DVDs, re-packaged as music CD's.
Some cigars
pics of home and a newspaper
fruit cake or chocolate cake
chewing gum
Heinz tomato ketchup
just a few ideas. Sorry if the porn thing offended anyone but we used to spend a long time apart and I was always the understanding wife. :o)

danchip I wouldn't have known about it only Mr M brought them home after a meeting of ex Marines. I usually send four shoe boxes to Operation Christmas Child but have decided to send two to each charity this year . Got to keep our boys morale up, apparently some of them never get a thing from home, how bad is that.
Exactly what cheries said, also some dehydrated stuff such as soups/chocolate drinks, etc
The recipient will love it and share it with his mates, and you'll get a 'thank you letter'. Believe me, those little luxuries we take for granted here are worth their weight in gold, we really appreciated getting them when I was inj.
God bless you
Xx
