does anybody know how effective the pill is, particularly brevinor, as i have looked at the instructiony thing and it doesnt really say, just that its a contraceptive.???

Hi emstown,the pill is very effective as long as its taken properly.Follow the instructions in the pack and you can't go wrong. Remember that antibiotics will possible affect how well it works as will bouts of sickness or diarrhoea.

yeah i know. i take it properly, usually i dont even have the one week break. im not sure where i heard this, but is there a type of pill that just stops u from bleeding?
i just really dont want to get pregnant, but i find sex terrible with condoms. its worked fine. just want to check really.

You should take the pill exactly as advised.

after being on the pill for years - for some reason its wasn"t agreeing with me. yes its true if you keep taking your pill then you don"t get your period. some people do it when they are going on holiday but its not something you should make a habit of. for me it was doing the opposite!! When i was still taking it, i was bleeding heavy which shouldn't happen- now i have just come off it altogether. No hanky panky for the other half now!! as if. lol
