Answerbank family

Good morning fellow ABer's
Following on from Village Vicar's reply yesterday when he said that there is an "AB family". This promted my to wonder, did you choose Answerbank, or did Answerbank choose you?

I started on here just over 2 years ago asking about how to make real Beefburgers thinking I would get my answer and only use AB if I really needed an answer to anything, now I'm hooked!! Look at what happens when AB goes down for maintenance or if there is an I.P fault, yesterday I had messages from other ABers on MySpace and MSN asking if the site was running or not? I was going to ask the same question myself.

Can you live without Answerbank?

yes I can, its only when I'm stuck infront of a computer through no choice that I look, any other time I have a life :-)

Just a thought but why don't you keep to yourspace and msn. Why come on here where there are lots of users who don't want to be in a fantasy family.

The real question is, I can live without AB but could AB live without me.

Good point Doc, in regards to Myspace, you can only chat to one person at a time, on AB you have an open forum

I can certainly live without answerbank.
I never come on it while I am at work. Always too busy and also it is not allowed in my workplace.
I also tend to avoid it late in the evenings.
Usually have a look in if I am on days off at work or just after dinner in the evening.
Too busy with work and home.
Like yourself, I asked a question on music a couple of years ago, it found me.
It can be interesting at times and also helpful with particular issues, but I could live without it!

There is no way I would use myspace, extremely foolish to put life history and personal stuff on.

I am expected to be grumpy but I would use the word "clique" rather than "family".

Good morning 4GS, i can live without it although there was a time when i couldnt have said that! I've not been on here an awful lot just lately as it seems to have lost my interest a little. Not a bad thing i dont think.

My birthday thread yesterday made me realise how lovely most are on this site though! and i have made some fab friends through it so for that i will always have a soft spot for answerbank!.
I came acorss ab when lookig for something to do with a telly programme! Not sure i ever did find the answer!

Morning john , I have been here since March 2007 and was directed via google to AB while searching for some advert music . Of-course I could live without it but I am rather hooked and would certainly miss the people I feel I connect with on here , be it cyber or not ! :-) xxx

Morning John, I've been on here for just over two years and I don't come on now as much as used to although like Jules and may others, I've made some really lovely friends through this site. I'm sure I'd manage perfectly well without Answerbank if it got taken away but I would miss it. I agree with Jules again though, not much on here interests me on here these days. xxx
