Hi. My fiance and I are trying to come up with a first dance that's beautiful and romantic but not cheesy! it's very difficult. He's really into rock so we're having trouble. Any ideas? x

If by bread
How Deep is your love Bee Gees
If you could read my mind Gordon Lightfoot
Baby, now that I've found you...can't remember who did that one
Can't take my eyes off of you.... The Lettermen
Congratulations!

I alwaylike to join a thread that mentions cheese.
One mans rock is another mans cheese.
Just comes down to personal preference, do you have any ideas floating around helster? I presume you will have a whole list of definite no-no's.
My friends had Aerosmith, but to them it was apparently the first song they had danced to - which in some peoples view could be cheesy!

In a recent poll, Aerosmith (as above) took top spot as the most played 1st dance at weddings.
Not really rock, but cool couples these days are choosing Snow Patrol (Chasing Cars), Jack Johnson (Better Together), David Gray (Sail Away) or Harry Connick Jr (It Had To Be You). Louis Armstrong (All The Time In The World) is consistently popular. My sister-in-law wanted Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden, but the DJ forgot the CD! There arent really that many rock songs that make it. Is there a particular band that he likes and you can compromise with, or will he have to do the compromising?
