I haven't read OG's old threads but I will assume that she hasn't lost a child at an early age. My son was six when he was hit by a car. He died instantly. He would be twenty now if he was still here. Only someone who has lost a child can know the feeling. You actually ache for them to be back with you. Fourteen years has not eased the pain one jot. If I could change places with him to give him life I would. So excuse me if I am less than sympathetic with a woman whose child is away from her for two days presumably safe in the hands of his father.
I'm not going to talk other people's business on here, but OG's problem isn't as dire as the one you've been through yourself. I'm sorry to hear about your son, and can only imagine what it must've like for you. I have two of my own, who mean more to me than anything. However - I've noticed that you're fairly acid-tongued. There's no need to be, and I still think that a joke about vibrators was inappropriate - especially from someone who obviously professes to be of a superior nature.
Lucy I am sorry for what you have been through, it must have been the most awful thing in the world.
Please accept others here have had similar dreadful things happen to them.
In oldgrape's case, the issue isn't not being with her children for the weekend, but an awful lot of bad stuff happened to her prior to this weekend.
We are very protective of her, but of course, you had no way of knowing this.
Check out some old posts, lots of us rely on other kind souls on here when we need help.
Sorry for what you are suffering,
God Bless

Hello oldgrape
It's nice to see you on here. :) If you join the library as a previous user said you are able to get out books/dvds/cds etc...so even if you're not a reader there may be other things that are of interest.
A nice long bath with a good read always makes me feel so relaxed. Or a bath with some candles, it's really nice...
