Follow your dream course, although it may take you nowhere in the future. Or do a course which is practical and will bring you a job at the end, which you don't love half as much?
Thanks

Follow your dreams.
i would always say follow your dream but be aware that you may have to accept another job at the end!
Hey ChocolatChip-I suppose it is circumstancial really. You can follow your dream much more freely if you don't have financial worries or family commitments, for example!

My dream course would be my first option if it was possible, but practically, I would also look at ways of getting into a job that I enjoyed or that paid well, depending on what my primary concern was at that moment! (usually I am not very money-motivated, but you do need some money in order to live!)

I hope you find what you want. X
I would say do the practical one! If you do the dream one, you will probably end up doing the practical one anyway to get yourself a job at the end, but then maybe this would suit you!
You must do the course that will interest you and in which will do well, rather than just go for where the jobs are. I studied illustration at art college, even though I knew the jobs were in graphic design. Since then I have worked in both!

Thanks for your replies...
And it is very funny that you should say that Jocksporran...
Because my dream course is to go to art college and do something like fine art, art and design or fashion and art.
Otherwise I will maybe study nursing and later train to be a midwife.
It is better to follow your dreams and fail, then rue not following them for the rest of your life.

What's the worse that can happy?

Thanks Bewlay...
I guess that is true, I suppose I'm just worried I'll waste some years doing something pointless.
I'm also worried that my work is not good enough to compete with a lot of others. All-round low confidence I guess...
But as I said, what is the worse that can happen?? You fail. Butthe years wasted will be enjoyable.

However, what is the best that can happen? Only you can answer that.

I accept that some people are born virtuous and lucky, but most luck is down to yourself. The world is your oyster, and only you can open it to reveal the pearl inside. Not me, not this website, not even your college tutor. You and you alone.

I wish you all the very best in your future activity and if you ever become rich and famous, track me down via AB and buy me a Rolex.

God bless.
