Proper/sufficient parenting or mentoring from their parents or guardians about personal and social responsibility?
As Octavius says. I always knew where the line was and never crossed it.

It was instilled in me to be polite, courteous to women, respect elders, and cooperate with those in authority, and I still do.

Hi Nicecupotea, sport of any kind usually channels their energy and keeps them occupied. It also gives them a chance to be together within a confined space thereby limiting their offending tendencies !!

I know what you mean Octavius and mattie about the parenting or mentoring aspect but unfortunately this is sometimes not present. Not a great deal kids can do about a rubbishy upbringing, so I was glad of flump1's suggestions about sport. Thank you all.
