If you were forced to choose between fulfilling you lifelong dream, or being with the one and only person who makes you truely happy in this world... which one would you pick?

I would be with the one I love. Anything else would be meaningless, even achieving my dream would be a hollow feeling without my love to share it with me.

I am rubbish at making decisions - but i would say think long term, which one would make you happiest and would you seriously regret not going with the other choice. But only if i was TRULY happy and in love with one person, i would stay with the love of my life!

my lifelong dream was to be happy....I achieved that by being with the one I love. I thought things couldn't get any better...until we had our first baby.

Seeing as NO ONE can make you truly happy... ONLY YOURSELF. Not to downplay love but in the end happiness depends ONLY ON YOU. So in that case since I will be with me no matter what I would choose the dream.

I would pick my true love every time. You could have all the riches in the world and everything that your heart desires at the click of your fingers but without someone to share it with , what would be the point ? It would be a lonely existence I think.

That would be my choice, ianmaney. but at the time i posted the question... the one person that i love didn't really want me to persue that, for fear of losing me, but since then, we have talked things out and things are going absolutely wonderful in having both. Thanks for all the responses... but i knew the whole time, if it really came down to it... i would be with my one and only.
