in the same way that a woman can? I know men have a strong desire to have sex but do they have the need for just cuddles, touching and being close.

I'm just wondering how it feels to be a man I guess. If a man is single, as well as having the physical desire to have sex does he have any other needs that he can't meet himself?

I most certainly do crave intimacy,more so than sex, but then again, I am a very affectionate, sensitive guy. I much prefer cuddles and kisses to sex.

were talking about two completly different types of pleasure here.

On the more basic, animalistic side of things "sex" is basically when u feel horny and so does your partner and you just go at it.

making love and kissing and cuddling is what falls into the area of "higher pleasures."

from sex we can obtain orgasmic pleasure whiilst through the higher pleasures we attain happiness, contentment and inner peace

Certainly not! I crave closeness far more than sexual gratification. Urges present themselves at different times however, usually when feeling down I crave the company of another female. Sexual gratification is a physical release that you long for, emotional need is a just void that no amount of masturbation could ever fill, you just walk around with an empty tank and can survive because you get used to it.
