Why is it that footballers get paid more than anyone else? Why do a bunch of prettyboys get paid millions than a firefighter, or a nurse, or people like us who work for a living. I think its appalling.
The floods this summer, in Toll Bar, near my hometown, they still haven't been sorted out. Conmen, conning money out of innocent folk, claiming to be sent from insurance company, and gypos steeling the brass bolts of the pumps, and steeling caravans which people were living in, useless companies too, letting an old couples complete collection of wedding and family photos go to ruin. I think its disgusting, and the people I knew have a partner who has died just a year ago, and who's other partner is seriously ill, the bloody gypos deserve no sympathy whatsoever.
I was also arguing with someone in my class, of whether Gordon Brown is a good prime-minister. He is as useless as a chocolate fireguard, at least with a chocolate fireguard, you can eat it. Of course, he's only been prime minister for 2 minutes, and already caused blunders, like the missing CD's and the missing hard drive. The othr person said 'that could have happened to anyone'. I don't think so, mr Brown simply isn't cut out to be a prime minister.

I agree that some get paid stupid wages. You say footballers - but according to the newspapers and TV they are not merely footballers....grown men who kick a ball on a length of grass and into a net are actually HERO's.....I am sure hero's can demand the stupid ridiculous wages that they receive (I hate football)

football players are obscenely paid , but the fans sponsor this so the ball is in there court as it were, perhaps a refusal to purchase the massively overpriced season tickets could perhaps change things and re address the balance , ohh and not forgetting them grown men buying shirts to look like there hero's... sorry I cant make the link somehow....... its just a big con .
whilst we are on about benefits , I have always held the beliefe that you don't have to be in wheelchair to be disabled, people have different reasons for being ill, some are fraudsters like bob says , most are not and there claim is justified...by the way I have worked all my life and paid all my taxes..so no catty remarks....

but if a footballers career ends ar 40, or eralier somtimes, what happens then? if everyone could only earn a salary up to 35 or 40 how would we all live til we were 80 or 90?
