hi, anyone suffer with waking up during the night and finding you hand or arm is numb, a bit like pins and needles? this has started happening to me for about the last three weeks, almost every night. I shake my arm around and move my fingers and he feeling returns back to normal in a matter of seconds. this happens two or three times a night. any ideas?

You are lying on it, or at least putting pressure on a nerve.
I have this quite often because I always sleep with my arms under the pillow. Once it was that bad I had no feeling in my arm at all and managed to lift it then it just flopped onto the pillow like I was dead! I even screamed it made me jumped and looked awful!
If you find that it is your little finger and your ring finger that are numb, you could have ulnar tunnel syndrome. If it is the other fingers, you could have carpal tunnel syndrome. Both these conditions also make the arm numb as well.
Or you could just be lying funny!
