I need some advice on what could be a life changing decision.

I've suspected for some time now that my Mrs has been having an affair. The usual signs. Phone rings, I answer, someone hangs up. She started going out 'with the girls' a lot recently although when I ask which girls it is always "Just some friends from work, you don't know them". I always look out for her taxi coming home but she always walks down the drive although I can hear a car setting off. As if she has got out of the car round the corner. Why? Is it not a taxi? I once picked her mobile up just to see what time it was and she went beserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her.

Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my Mrs. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth but last night she went out again and I decided to check on her. I decided I was going to hide behind my car which would give me a view of the whole street so I could see which car she gets out of. It was whilst crouched behind my car that I noticed rust around my rear wheel arch.

Should I take it into a body repair shop or should I buy some stuff from Halfords and try to repair it myself?

so very sad to hear of your predicament......probably worsened by the fact it is so near christmas,just a pity you didn't discover this out sooner . I think you'll have a major blot on your festivitiesas you will be very fortunate to find a body repair shop that's open ; try and not get too low and think of all the good times you and your car have had together

Its ok. I feel for you and sympathise with your extremely difficult and life changing predicament.

Everyone gather round for a group hug to help oneeyed get through this tormenting time.

Immediately though, I would get a rust inhibiting covering that will clear up the rust and prevent further rust. Then take back the paint around the rust and add a suitable primer.

In warm conditions, add layers of the correct paint, lightly taking it back with a suitable wet / dry paper.

When done, remember to laquer and polish the finish and everything will be ok. Be strong.

or......
see if the mrs is seeing a car bodyshop worker. He could be useful. :)

infidelity is like rust.
it eats away .
and if its too far gone then its more work than its worth to fix , and theres always the risk of it reappearing again, all too often it does.

so i suggest trading the missus in for a newer model and getting a red sports car and having some fun instead of sittin in the house while shes out gettin her jollies as you sit in the house alone .

you deserve some fun.
