Hi Guys,
I am coming to you really for some advice if i can get it.
About a month ago i was playing with my 3 year old son with some Play doh, he tried to open a tub of dough but somehow caught his finger on the lid of the pot. He didn't cry but really winced with pain, Anyway it didn't bleed or anything so all was ok.
About a week later his finger swelled up and seemed infected, it went really red and puffy and started weeping, then it went crusty etc, I bathed it and put germoline on it.
Now it has heeled up, doesn't hurt anymore but to my horror as his nail is growingnothing is coming through.
the old nail is getting smaller and more of the nail bed is showing.
What should i do, is there anything i can do??
Anyw advice gratefully received
Thank you
Jo

take him to your GP for advice?
If you have to wait to see your GP with him, go and ask a pharmacist for advice in the meantime, but still take him to see the GP as soon as you can to get it checked out properly.
