Facts:

1) Only women go gooey over babies

2) Only women have "fake babies"

3) Only women get the hump at the change

4) Only women (I believe) kidnap small children because they want to mother them. Men tend to kidnap for more sinister reasons.

5) There is no such thing as a "Fathers morning" or "Fathers meeting"

6) Most men do not find family humour like "Three men a Baby", "Mr Nanny" or anything similar funny.

Yes, a man can realistically produce live tadpoles until he dies but most men would not have a child bearing bride in old age.

So can men get broody?

I dont think men become broody based on men I have asked about this.

If they have a child they love them to bits ect but they dont get broody to have children, well most of them dont...

do you know different?? please enlighten me from a male perspective??

I am interested in this subject.
I get broodie but I don't know if it's the same kind as women's broodieness as they have a biological clock.
Mr P has watched 'Parenthood' 3 times...each time he watched it he wanted a child! that movie is now banned.

He goes far more gooey over babies than I ever could.
My other half does too. We have had several new nieces and nephews in the last 12 months and he loves them to bits, goes all gooey over them when we see them, saying they're so cute and stuff.
Mr MiniN would have had me pregnant years ago if i didnt rein him in (no pun intended).

he looks forward to the days we have a family and a lil one running around, probably more than i do.

although he may not admit it in front of the lads he really likes the film 3 men and a baby and stuff like that!

so yes men definately can get broody. shame they can't be the ones carrying the baby for 9months though....
A 'real' father becomes broody when he sees his child for the first time. Hope this helps.
