Have these people left? I mean have they left without even a goodbye? Did neither bother to say "I'm off and won't be back again" or did I miss their final goodbye messages? Both were handy for answering questions in what posts they replied to, and suddenly they are not here anymore and I wonder if whether they were polite enough to post a goodbye message or whether I missed their last post., or whether they were banned or simply left AB without even a nice "goodbye"

Fr Bill posted a thread last week, though I can't remember where. BBWCHATT pops up from time to time but has never been an every-day poster. So I don't think either has left

Many claim they left, only to return in guise/s. Not accusing them, but one never know who is who in pixel land.

I do miss the good Vicar though.

Maybe so but it's not something you can ever know 100% and the VV has never gone out of its way to intentionally offend. Long winded does not equal offensive. That being the case I suggest that you can either treat with indifference (not speculating on what you don't know), answer their threads if you have an input to make or just ignore it. Judgements are easy to make but not really much point on an annoymous website especially as technically VV hasn't done anything to deserve either condemnation or high praise that I can tell. But I could be wrong.

Thank you for your replies. Strangely, I don't think either are back under new names. I did feel both were genuine people and not scammers. Anyhow its a shame if either have left without even a goodbye.

I answered Fr Bills post but had no idea he may have left AB and I never asked BBW a question but used to always rely on her recipes!

As a guy trying hard to learn how to cook (no little woman to do it for me) I do miss BBW and its sad when what I consider genuine members seem to leave and don't even bother to post a goodbye message. Anyhow, thanks for the heads up and I guess they have moved on.

CD -theonlyone has actual physical evidence (o my- I feel like Taggart now) that he doesnt exist as he says -he has confirmed this with the ACTUAL vicar of the church he claims to be affiliated to.
I am sorry I appear to have the bit between my teeth on this issue BUT I feel very strongly about people grooming and duping people using their 'wisdom' 'care' and crucially 'religion'.
It actually pains me to see people on here fawning over him -thats how these people make their money.He tried once and really didnt get anywhere -then Grape appeared with a tragic story and despite the offer of help from various ABers he shielded her and wouldnt take anyone on.
Suddenly he tests the water then lo and behold 2 weeks later Grape re-appears -both in theirr threads scoffing the notion that they were inter linked.

Call me a cynic but I would rather be called a realist.

O and I genuinely do keep out of 'this type of thread' but I feel strongly about charlatons.

Thanks Ethel and everyone else for that matter who has had the gumption to come out and be counted.-I knew there was someone else Ethel -I just couldnt remember --these people should be actively discouraged not put on a pedestal as the second coming.

as a genuine friend of bbw's on a personal level, (have known her a long time) i can set the record straight on that score, dont know about fr bill,

bbw has NEVER used any other name than the one she uses pn here, we call each other by our real names.

she aked the ED to remove her from the site and terminate her account, WHY?

BBW is a genuine lovely person, the best i've ever met on line and have spoken to her often over the phone.
a true lady who never joins the slanging matches and name calling on here,

My main problem with father bill is the amount of things he seems to do at the same time - especially as it must have taken some time to post his responses on AB as well. I just don't think that there are enough hours in the day to be doing all the good works and surfing the net. he always seemed to know the best web sites for everything and also had very expensive tastes and experiences for one so humble. But then again, I am usually a bit wary of religious people anyway.

O Annie -I have mentioned this before as well -ask any Q in travel about hotels and Bill has stayed in the best of them.

O BTW -I am not on a crusade per sae -just standing up to someone who I personally believe is fake and a charlatan.Now theres trolls who are pests then there are those who try to brainwash us and take us for fools.
I just know the real damage those people can to do vulnerable people and it really gets my goat -they surf round searching for likely targets.

I'm not on any crusade either - I watch what is happening but don't always get involved. I wouldn't say that I am necessarily the most perceptive either, but something doesn't feeel right.
