Hi. I'm doing some research for a book I am wanting to publish about attitudes in the workplace towards gay men.

I would like to ask you which jobs you'd believe would be unsuitable for gay men and why?

defintely not a writer in the english language. one can use the verb want only in the stative and never in the continuous. unless they changed the language and failed to let me know.
Surely a gay man could do any job a straight man could do or woman or gay woman for that matter?
why would any job be unsuitable because you are gay?

OK, I'll put it another way, which jobs are seen as more difficult due to society's expectations? Where being gay in that particular profession would be seen as irregular.

And to benaddam, no-one likes a smart-arse.
Doubt there are many gay gynacologists..... not because they are unable to do the job, just because it doesn't have the same attraction on 'careers evenings'.

Hope this helps
i honestly can't think of any specific job. proctologist maybe. sorry, that was bad.

Not sure about that, IAP. The Q may be a bit offensive (or a lot, depending on your attitude) but I wouldn't call it homophobic.

egb06jw wants to write a book about attitudes ~ other peoples attitudes, not his own. It is about social expectations, not his own.

It's a fair question, however my only answer would be 'none'.

Heh heh, IAP ~ I think there should be a better word, as homophobia seems to be bandied around and not used in the context it should be.

I suppose this could be a sexist question, actually? not sure about the OPs intention, I am more likely to give benefit of the doubt and then see what surfaces later on.

As for if the Q was regarding women in the workplace, again I haven't researched it, but would hazard guesses if I were brave enough ;o)

What is wrong with the question. homosexual men do exist( object to the word gay as they have hijacked it , it used to mean nice things)

I would not like a queer dentist, doctor or any professional person.

I am not comfortable in their presence .
they should all have their balls cut off.

Hope this helps
They might as well gravy, they are no use to them
