We have a Zanussi slim line dishwashernow 4 years old. On saturday night the machine was set to run on its usual cycle (B) and left running. When we came downstairs the following morning the entire groundfloor of the house was flooded and we found the dishwasher was stuck about a quarter way through it's cycle, the pump was running and water was leaking out all round the bottom of the door. We opened the door and the machine stopped. After lifting around 30 gallons of water from the floor with a wet vac we then sucked the water from the bottom of the machine and closed the door. The machine restated and completed it's cycle and appears to run ok again. The points we observed were the filters were reasonably clean, but the mains water pressure was very high. We have asked Zanussi if they can supply any clues but they say not, and we have asked the water company if there were any surges in water pressure and they say no. We have however throttled the mains water pressure down, run a cleaning cycle through the machine and now only operate it in the evening when we can keep an eye on it. Has anyone had any similar problems or suggestions as to what caused this.
i had to change my dishwasher from hot fill to cold fill. after doing this it leaked. after investigating i found the coldwater pressure was to high. turned it down and all is ok since.
