As some of you may know, i have been a rapid fan, I mean avid fan, of Garth Brooks for a considerable number of years, well, 12 actually, well, today I went into WH Smiths, and of course his new 3 disc cd/dvd called the Essentail Garth Brooks was on sale, as it is in all major music outlets on your high street, but then I was perusing the magazine racks, and oh my lord, there he was on the front cover of a magazine!!!!!!!! now it is a long long time since I have bought a magazine just because of the picture on the cover, to tell the truth the last time was probably 1971 and david cassidy, but anyhow, i bough the magazine!!!!!!!!! It's called 'Linedancer' and i am scared to read anything in it except the piece on Garth!!! Who was your last cover idol????????????

P.S. it has a stunning B&W full page pic of him inside which i will copy and add as my avatar shortly!

LOL Bob - but hey, look at the change in Andy Fordham!!!! And everyone who's a regular knows who my idol is, but unlike Dot, I don't know how to add him to my avatar!!??? It took me about 3 hours to get my own pic up, so i don't bother with beta much now. Help!

oh my gawd Whickerman were you??????????? I am so hyped up about it all, after all this time I never thought he would come out of retirement but now he may even tour!!!! i always said he just needed the right marketing behind him to warrant a tour here.

Also, he's signed an exclusivity deal in the US with Walmart, so they are the only ones allowed sell his stuff. Whilst that sounds restrictive, his albums sell for a tiny sum and the DVD box set of concerts was under $10 there.

(Should've bought a crate full when I was in the US - he was bigger than Jesus here in Ireland.)

yeah he is a shrewd business guy I'll give him that, at least he controls what he does, Oh I hope he does tour, I would try to go to as many shows as possible!!!!!!!
