I have just been prescribed zyban to help stop smoking can anyone tell me if they have used it and if so was there any side effects and how succesful was it

I've never used it. I was going to but I also heard stories about some people having bad nightmares as well.
If you look at the link and scroll down it lists the possible side effects, as with any medication these are just possible side effects and some people wont have any.
I'll be intrested to hear how you get on.

So how did you get on?
I'm on day 6 of taking zyban but was told to start taking 2 a day on day 4, which has surprised me as anything I've read about it says to double the dose on day 7. I'm still smoking but not as much but I've banned myself from smoking inside so it could be due to the fact it is ruddy freezing outside :o) The only other thing I've noticed is a slight headache on & off since yesterday but again that could be due to me stressing over the kids christmas presents. Wouldn't the best present be for their mum to be a non-smoker :o)
