Biggest mistake of your life.

What's your biggest mistake that you yourself have made?

I'm not interested in blaming others in a roundabout way a la I wish I'd seen that coming etc etc.

I am looking for a hold your hands up moment. An action you took that you totally regret. You can tell us what it is or you can just talk about it and keep it secret. Go on. Expel your demons.

I regret not succeeding in higher education. It's a long story. It will always hang over me.

I'm not a very offencive person and often like to 'be' a good person, that is why my biggest regret was making the school bully cry with what I thought were a few home truths!

She cried and I got sent to the headmaster, which I then realised that what I said was very wrong!

She never was nasty to me again, but told me a few years later that she was effected by it!

I always have regreted it!

I don't think you could really regret that andrea. A bully needs to be addressed. It's wrong that they do that. How about how she affected people?

Ye I try telling myself that, but I think for her to cry and still think about it years later made me feel bad! Two wrongs not making a right and all that!

Oh well, almost 20 years has gone by so maybe I should let it go!

I'm sure if you were speaking to her then it had a positive effect on her and she regretted her actions. Good on you. Twenty years is a long time to feel guilty. I'm sure she's moved on. Don't worry about it.
