hi every1! a quick query... After doing exercise (playing football) at night i really struggle to sleep as my heart rate will be fast for hours after and i cannot help but be aware of it... when i eventually drift off and wake up in the morning all is well apart from feeling tired! I have always been paranoid about my heart for some reason (Im only 21!) so am wondering is this abnormal? cheers.
Assuming you don't smoke, drink too much or take other substances, it'd be normal for your heart rate to be higher after exercise, but for "hours on end" seems a bit weird. Have a word with your doctor. I'm sure you're OK really.
am a fairly heavy drinker and have dabbled in substances but were talkin 3/4 yrs ago now... jus feel daft talkin to my doc bout my heart when im so young!
Drug abuse can cause long term heart problems. You may not be aware the drugs have damaged your heart until years later. As Ice.Maiden said I would see your GP about it...don't be scared to mention you took substances in the past as this may have a bearing on what tests they do.
Not at all - it's always wise to keep a check on yourself. Alcohol can increase the heart rate though. No doubt your tiredness's caused by not sleeping too well - through worrying! Also, too much exercise can make you tired, so i think a quick word with the doc'll put your mind at rest.
I'd definitely at least see your GP about this, a simple ECG check (non-invasive) just a little cold if they don't warm the gel, and slightly sticky from the adhesive. That will put your mind at rest. They may detect a slight condition that is causing your symptoms, but it's likely that, at most you may need some slight medication, or maybe just some good relaxation techniques. I AM NOT A DOCTOR however, so anything your GP says you should listen to. Good luck.
When I go swimming I get this I get back home about 11 so go straight to bed but dont sleep for hours, and even worse when I finally get to sleep and an earthquake happens. jeez
