I will try to be concise -lol

I dont drink as a rule but had a few glasses of wine last night.
Took myself off to the local -always someone there I know.
Had a great craic -end of night shots appeared -so i downed them.I have never had it before.

I can remember vividly everything-what was said the lot but when i got up to go home my legs wouldnt work.

Luckily a good friend managed to get me home -but by this stage I couldnt even crawl -so he left me on the pavement -(I dont blame him (TBH).

My body is in total reek -I know I fell when i tried to walk and then continued to fall -its all crystal clear.I think my hip is damaged -its swollen beyong belief and I can barely walk and my thumb- for some bizarre reason- I know is broken -WTF?

Has anyone had a similar situation with this? I have all day been totally perplexed by this.

Its mental stuff and I would never recommend it to anyone

I feel today as though I have been drugged -its a really bizarre feeling.

Should it be banned??????????????

it's not just the alcohol content, i think the wormwood in it has a strange effect!

I cant believe that stuff is on sale -fine just one shot -maybe -but i had 3 (I think) on top of some wine.

I just dont do falling down drunk and i am mortified -also someone went through my bag and took some tabs.yip the kind ya can sell on for a fiver a tab-grrrrrrr !!!!They also blocked my phone but managed to get that sorted -obv didnt steal it when they realised they had a useless phone.

dris you can get varying strengths from 40 proof to 90 proof


green absinthe , red , black , blue , yellow.

here in the reef most bars only sell you 2 or 3 shots max

its rocket fuel



but not as bad as drinking pint glasses with triple voddy and a can of red bull in it

i had 9 last year with my m8 who was over on hols at mine

couldnt get to sleep then shook inside all next day
tho outside i was steady as a rock

Dris-it is great to see you back,hun............what an awfull experiance!! I have often heard of the reputation of Absinthe-don't think I will try it,somehow. Your thumb may have been broken if you threw your hand out to break your fall...too easily done.Take care of yourself xx

No weeal -it was in my hometown -they have a big sign up -have to give then some credit-but i was just presented with a shot -thought it was Aftershock TBH -then it just went on -but like a lot of things its not until you try to walk you know you are ******.Yip-bag was raided -not purse tho -what a bizarre night -NEVER to be repeated.
I wish I had a blackout but everyhing is still so real to me-its mega distrurbing.

It looked green to me when i was knocking it back.-dont know what strength it was but it has knocked me for six.

Leg -youre right -dangerous -just as well for me I was in good hands.

There's a limit of two in our local, haven't drank it in years, was put off the like of it after a terrible Aftershock bender with much the same outcome as yourself. But no, nothing should be banned, NOTHING.
