Has anyone lost practically all of their long term friends through some malicious untrue gossiping? Had their friends turn against them through no fault of your own and when you ask them what is wrong they go all quiet on you like you have the plague?

yeah and you know what! long term they might be but true friends, nah. fcuk the little rats off if they choose to listen to gossip than listen to a mate. looks like this gossipins actually done u a favour rather than made u lose out coz now u kno who ur mates are.

When I started my current job a woman lied about me to everyone in the office, and that had the effect you describe. Joke was, I didn't know, just thought they were a bunch of stuck-up cows, and carried on with my life. If you don't care they can't hurt you. I still laff cos this woman was then fat and ugly. She has since lost weight - but man is she ugly!
