You say you're maybe eating slightly more, but what are you eating a bit more of? Answer: Apples - correct. Answer: Chocolate biscuits - wrong. (If you get my drift.)
Don't stop drinking water since it flushes toxins out of your body - toxins which may cause spots.
It might just be the time of the year - s**t weather and staying in (central heating) so not getting so much fresh air and exercise, all of which can affect your skin.
Try using natural cleansers and moisturisers such as Witch Hazel and Tea Tree (Boots the Chemist) and Pure Aloe Gel. It's really good for skin care.
