I ordered a pack of blank DVDs off the internet and when it arrived it was damaged. I called the company and they said to return it so I did. The stupid thing is is that I didn't put any kind of postage on it when taking it to the post office. I have contacted the company and they say they have not received it.
My question is: What do the post office do with undeliverable packages? Do they keep them for a certain period of time and then return to sender or do they destroy them? I posted the package at the end of Feb.
It could take a few weeks to get it back to you.I sent a parcel of baby clothes to a family friend just after christmas(it had postage on it) as there was nobody to sign for the parcel they returned it to me about a month after I posted it.You won't get in trouble and they may not charge you the unpaid postage,I suppose you could try contacting your local sorting office after the bank holiday to see if they can trace it for you.
Thanks Daffy. I usually have to go to my sorting office for undeliverable packages that need a signature. My sorting office is usually open on a Saturday morning so I hope its open tomorrow.
