I was not ignoring you, or deeming you unworthy. I was being enigmatic.
Thank you - yes I did enjoy Tenerife and I stay in Silencio as I prefer peace and quiet.
I did have a few days out in Cristianos and Americas (among other places) where I ran past all the sex shops in case you recognised me. :)

Thanks, Ray. :)
Leg - I stay in my friend's apartment right on the sea front at Amarilla Bay. Happy now?
Dot - if you want a raving night life, good beaches or childrens' entertainment, Silencio isn't for you. But as Leg said it is cheap and easy to get to the big resorts. I used the buses a lot without problems - 1 euro to Cristianos.
There is a nudists rock, which you will only get to if you are determined to go there as it is off the beaten track, plenty of bars and restaurants, mostly mundane but some surprisingly excellent.
I like it - it has what I need in a holiday - sun, peace and quiet and the ability to get to large resorts and excellent beaches cheaply and quickly. A lot of Canarians living in Santa Cruz have weekend retreats in Silencio, so although there alre lots of Brits, Belgians and Dutch there are plenty of natives too.
