Where does your stuff go?
10 Answers
You know, all that crap you collected over the years that you thought 'would be useful some day':
the half fishing rod
the 'Bunty annual'
the shoes with maybe one more use in them
the trousers that will fit you again if you lose 2 stone
all that crap
YOU HAVE NOT USED IT IN 5 YEARS! YOU WILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN!
What should you do with it?
Bin it?
Ebay it?
Charity shop it?
I am doing this today. All my crap is going out.
Why are we such a nation of hoarders? Is it cos we/our parents/grandparents suffered a couple of world wars where we kept hold of the little we had? Is it part of human nature just to hoard stuff? It would all be just funny except the stuff ends up filling your house. "You own possessions first, then after a while they own you". I've moved house 5 times in the last decade and all this stuff has come with me. It's time for it to go!!!!!!!
Do you hoard? Or travel light?

I checked ebay for people selling similar crap to mine and it didnt sell so the only people making from it were ebay. Actually, there is so much cheap crap for sale on ebay that I'm surprised people still pay 40 times as much in the shops for the same crap that is slightly newer.
I have a scanner, for example, that I never use. It cost 150 new. I would get 4 for it maybe on ebay, if it sold. Not worth the hassle. May hold on to it for a while. How can I throw it out? Cost me 150!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a terrible hoarder. I still have all my childhood toys, childhood books, every letter I ever received from a friend, I've even still got all my GCSE notes for goodness sake. I've lugged it around every home since I moved out when I was 19 so I'm not going to throw it all out now. Nothing is worth anything to anyone else. Thank god I now have a house as most of it is now in the loft.
I am a hoarder. There Ive said it, I keep stuff that is just bits of rubbish really. My worst vice is buying things I had as a child that I didnt manage to keep hold of so my bookshelves are groaning with any amount of ladybird books and annuals. Ive sold a couple of them on Ebay and then immediately wished i hadnt. I can sell clothes and shoes as I have no emotional attachment to them but can,t part with the books and other crap.
