Is it true that farts are flammable? my mate tried to light one, but he ended up being told by the doctor to sit on a rubber ring in a cold bath after he burnt himself. noone was there as witness, and he said he wont try again, not even in the name of science.

fart are mostly made up of methane so are flammable, from what i've seen on shows like dirty sanchez you really need to get someone to stand behind you and light it as it comes out otherwise you won't get it quick enough. trying to do it yourself is likely to end up with you getting burnt as you can't see what you are doing.

Potatoman, yes on re-reading my answer it was a bit forthright & never reply when you are having a bad day! I have laughed myself silly over 'fart' jokes before, but setting light to your botty was a bit worrying! I can just imagine all the kids who 'may' have tried this, to be down at casualty this morning & nursing their wounds! :~)
