How do I relieve my sore nipples?

I'm pre menstrual at the moment and my nipples are very sore. Does anyone have any methods or remedies how to relieve the discomfort a little?

Also, what makes the nipples sore during this time, I know it's hormones, but how exactly do the hormones cause the soreness?

No brand names spring to mind (it's far too long since they were needed here), but I'm sure that you can get creams to help relieve sore nipples in the baby section of most chemists. Mind you, the soreness those creams are for is probably not the same as you are experiencing !

How about cotton wool in your bra ? Just a thought !!

Never had this problem except if I have ever gone bra less and the top has rubbed. I would suggest getting a well fitted padded bra that doesn't move around. I have read that vaseline stops nipple rash. Soldiers use it.

for me, any kind of pain reliever works well, also dont were tight shirts or bras, that won't help

I always used to get this before my period - I started taking Evening Primrose and after the first month or so it went away never to return.
