Taking aspirin

It is said that taking an aspirin a day is a good prevention against strokes.However,I have also learnt that some people cannot take aspirin - what are the effects of not being able to take aspirin ?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Not to worry about Aspirin, the small dosage that is needed for stroke prevention is extremely unlikely to cause side effects and is worth the offset. Adverse reactions to Aspirin are many and infrequent, but may include, indigestion, stomach bleeding and hypersensitivity (allergy), but these are rarely if ever seen in the small doses that you would be taking for stroke prevention. As far as I know, the other painkillers play little or no part in stroke prevention, as Aspirin reduced the "stickiness" of the platelets. Don't worry.
