Grey hair

Is it at all possible for a person never to grey in their entire life, even at the age of say... 80 or whatever, or does every single person in the world end up with grey hair at some point?

my wee gran died at the age of 87 with only a couple of grey hairs at the temple, she had long brown hair all her life

Well... my dear sister who died 2 years ago would not beleive that I didn't dye my hair - I'm 61 and my hair is the same mousy brown it's always been. To add confusion to the question - my brother went pure white in his 30's, he's now 65 and his hair is going mousey brown in patches! How queer it all is.

my partners grandad went bald in his 50s yet later in life his hair started growing back?!

Cazzzz, that is kinda weird... never knew a bald man's hair could grow back.... lol

Just don't go the way of an old teacher mine - who quite obviously dyed his hair jet black and had a wrinkled face like one of those dogs....

He became somewhat of a laughing stock...

I think it's completely natural... the black eyebrows with the white hair....

mcraig, I have well greying hair but my eyebrows are still brown. So it's quite likely natural.

I haven't been able to get to the hairdressers for a couple of months and I've never before been in such dire need of having my roots done. As they have grown out more than they ever normally do I am horrified to see how much grey hair has been revealed. I'm 44 years old (today actually) and it is soooo unfair that my hair should be so grey at that age!!!! If I don't continue to dye it I will most likely be completely white haired by the time I'm 50.

I have never met anyone who has got to a very ripe old age without at least a bit of grey hair. I don't doubt it is possible to never go grey but I would imagine it is quite rare.

I have dyed my hair blonde since I was 15 and I'm 59 now. I've left it for the last 6 months to see what sort of colour it is. It's a gorgeous ash blonde which I've been striving for all my life! At last I can just be natural.

My 88 year old uncle doesn't have much hair, but what hair he has got is still jet black. I know he doesn't dye it as when he was in hospital for 6 months a couple of years ago it was still black. His son (my cousin) however has got a full head of white hair!
