how could you forget about the chicken dance?
You gotta have "Good times" by Chic also "lets stick together" by Bryan ferry. Also how's about "I knew the bride (when she used to rock and roll)" by Dave Edmunds?
Obviously 50 pence is the British counterpart of 50 Cent! Sorry, had to point that one out!
september - earth wind and fire, aint no stopping us now - mcfadden and whitehead, outkast - hey yeah spacecowboy - jamiroquai (the morales mix) ce ce peniston - finally is it specifically just dance music? if not then there are a few classic wedding disco songs- uptown girl, billy joel, wham, the oldeis tend to love The Mavericks Dance the night away and fairground attraction Perfect. then when you stick on something like madness or tainted love you always get some blokes dancing in an odd way! guaranteed! i'm sure there are loads more if i think about it!

thanks everyone for your suggestions i shall definatly use some. i was joking philtaz i know his currancy
Is this the way to Amarillo ....sha la la la la la la la ....u cant stop the oldies on this one... How about some Tom Jones ...Its not unusual to loved by anyone.... Delilah ...and perhaps something for the kiddies ..yellow submarine....bob the builder.... cookie monster song... Only you (the platters)
Tub Thumpin' I get knocked down
Not sure what you call usual stuff. My ex husband was a dj & when no one was dancing the thing that always got them on their feet was the 'Saturday night fever' songs - worked every time! We used to have a little bet with each other - spot the first person who's going to say "Got any Quo?" (apologies to Quo fans)
Here's the cheesy ones:- Len Boone - Love Won't Be Denied The Gap Band - Oops Up Ottoman - Brown Girl/Hands Up Village People - YMCA Or if you want something really unusual, try some northern soul... everybody's familiar with NS now cos of the Kentucky Ads. Marlena Shaw, Laura Greene, The O-Jays. All unusual, but danceable
