Online Ordering

Please help- I ordered some makeup last monday from www.pimpindeals.com and it said delivery would take 1-3 days. I have emailed them to see where my order is and have had no response, so I phoned the number provided only to find the number is not available! I am so worried as I paid by card... what will happen? Why have I not received my order and does this mean the website is a con or something?

if you paid by card you are covered for internet fraud (it sounds like it may be this) by the card company. I'd ring them for advice on what to do next ie whether to make a claim for fraud yet or not. btw this advice only applies to UK citizens - i don't know if the american card companies are liable in the same way

I forgot to mention, my payment went through Worldpay.. does this make any difference?

I tried the number as well and was told it was unavailable. I have e mailed them on the pretence of buying from them and I will let you know if I get an answer. Will

If you read their FAQs you'll see they say to wait 28 days (the standard mail order delivery time) if sent by ordinary post before contacting them re missing post, but 7 days if if recorded delivery.

However - it is very worrying their phone number is not working. You have seen their address on the site? Are you near them?

There's a number of things you could attempt to do, but it depends how much you have spent with them whether you think it worth it.

You should contact your credit card company to tell them of your fears - see if the payment has beentaken.

You could contact their website host; they sould be able to contact them and if the company has done a flit they won't get paid and can take the site down. - I don't think Answerbank will aloow a phone numner or email address. The hosting company is called Traderwebs and if you put that in Google it will appear atthe top of the list. Select contact for their email and phone number and a name that registers pimpindeal is Anthony Fisher

You could contact trading standards.

But hopefully their phone number is temporatiliy out of order and the deliver is delayed in the post

When I placed the order it never said how my items would be sent (eg-recorded/registered)there was just a �2.50 charge for postage and did not give me the option.

Every other time I have paid through Worldpay I have received an order confirmation... but I never did this time, why would that be??

Wow! What a dodgy looking site! I never heard of a company that dosen't have a fax number either. by the way, there is an address; 18 Walton Road , Southampton, SO19 0JB. i wouldn't hold out for a reply though,,,

Yes - only a �2.50 option even if you use a USA address.

Doesn't look good. I've noidea of the prices on this site, are they really 75% cheaper? Seems too good to be true...

To be honest, I wouldn't deal with a site that called itself Pimping Deals in the first place, and there aren't the usual indicators that the site genuine.

But maybe they've been snowed under with business and unplugged the phone to deal with the backlog

If you haven't got the World Deals email it sounds like your order hasn't been processed yet. Call your credit card firm and see if you can block it's payment

Yes I will phone my bank when I get home. The prices on the site are not 75% cheaper, I only ordered in the first place as they do a maxfactor product that I could not find on any other site and it was cheaper than in the shops but not 75 %! - Just though I was getting a bit of a bargain.
