After being on Ramipril for a few months I found that occassional if I was doing a household chore or job that requird me to bend down and get up again several times I would come over quite faint. After speaking to my Doctor I simply stopped taking it in the morning and now take it before I go to bed and have no problems with it now.
I get the faint thing ... just put that down to the reason I take it.
I'm also on amiodarone .... that comes with a ten volume encyclopedia of side effects .... and I got every one!
within a couple of days started thinking I was going to die .... after four weeks was whishing I could.
then after about 6 weeks is just stopped and settled down (all within a couple of days) and no problems now
I posted a similar question a week or so ago, as when I started taking it, I got severe stomach pains, like wind. But I just gritted my teeth and it has now passed off. But one ABer who answered my question said that their doctor had warned them of this possibility when prescribing it.
it would be a dull world if we were all the same! I have taken 10mg of ramipril for 4 years now with no adverse effects, but I am on such a concoction of medication - perhaps one of my meds couteracts the effects. I haven't had the cough you speak off
wife just reminded me that for a couple of weeks after I started doc gave me meds for period pains!!
(I'd completely forgotten [I think the ami is all I remember now]) but no cough.
give it time ... docs never mention side effects unless they have to ... if you did you'd get all of them!
even with the ami ... specialist warned a couple of "rare possibilities" my doc just patted me knowingly on the head everytime I turned up with something new.
But I can say that after a few weeks (a long time when it's YOU doing the time) for me it's always passed.
by my standards I feel pretty good most of the time.
as soon as they play with the mix ... but otherwise it's good
i am on this tablet now for over 2 years now bp was 200/100
now its down to normal level 120/70
dr says just keep taking them as they are working and no side effects
