Does anyone else have this - teeeeny black heads on their nose and chin? Its just darkened pours really, but its so ugly! i've noticed even Johnny Depp has them, but I hate them! Is there any way of getting rid? I have a blackhead clear scrub thingy but it reeeeally doesnt work. I'm reeeally hoping its just a teenage thing! Also make sure that you wash your face frequently - and rinse properly, as soap can get trapped in the pores. If your hair falls over your face, try to keep it tied back, and clean. Blackheads can be the scourge of teenagers, not to mention spots, but while the hormones are settling down, it's just a case of being very aware of facial hygeine and then waiting!
Don't over- wash your face, however, as this will get rid of the natural oils that are there to protect you! Contrary to popular belief, using harsh cleansers will make your skin MORE oily, and more prone to spots and blackheads as the protective layer of natural oils is wiped away and your skin has to work doubly hard to produce it again. Use a mild cleanser, morning and night, a tea tree toner and a light oil-free, perfume-free moisturiser. This should improve the condition of your skin a bit.

Just a wee update! lol I bought some goodies from Lush yesterday, and just tried the facial soap Angels on Bare Skin. It was lovely! Mildly exfoliating and filled with natural oils. It's left my face feeling baby soft and not dry or tight at all. :O)
I'd recommend popping into a Lush store, they are very helpful and not pushy, and you can ask for some free samples to test the products first!

hi i do beauty at college and the best way to get them out is 2 steam ur face to open ur pores. Wrap tissue around ur fingers to prevent dirt and bacteria entering the pores, then just squeeze them out they should pop out easily after steaming! remember to cleanse tone and moisturise daily and exfoliate 2 times per week. hope this helps!
Pore strips are the best thing ever! You can get the Biore ones cheap on eBay. Also try beauty products with enzymes in - my fave is Kiehl's Pineapple Papaya Facial Scrub which gets rid of dead skin cells without irritating your skin. Not cheap, but a little goes a long way (I use it twice a week and buy a tube every six months).
Finally, it's worth trying the cheapest option - an asprin mask! It was my teenage saviour! You basically get a couple of soluble asprins, add just a couple of drops of water (in the palm of your hand) to make a paste and gently rub all over your face (avoiding your eyes). Leave for 15 minutes then rinse off - the salicylic acid in the tablets gently lifts up the blackheads. Have a look at this: /www.acne.org/aspirin-mask-reviews/75/page1.html
*** Obviously don't use an asprin mask if you are allergic to it! ***

Lots of people use blackhead remover tools but they provide a temporary fix. They are good to remove the blackhead hygienically if your going to squeeze them ... like most of us can't resist doing! I perform this effective regime:

You can use natural cleansers to wash your face, or a facial steamer to open up facial pores and wipe blackheads off, or use a pore strip.
