As for the world, it'll tick along very nicely without children in it. Sure it'd be over run with animals at first but eventually nature will sort that one out.
The human race however would be a bit knackered if we stopped producing offspring.

i was thinking more of the psychological affects. I live outside a school...and as the weathers been so nice ive been sitting outside more. The sound of children playing is incrediably
unique.
How haunting would it be to know that the sound will NEVER be heard EVER again? To NEVER hear a baby cry? To NEVER hear them laugh again?
Personally...i believe it would be a depressing world...children give us something...that...i dunno...i cant describe...a world without children...? wow...for me personally...its a powerful and haunting prospect.

did anyone watch the documentary called life after humans? it was on over the easter weekend..that was really interesting.. it showed how much is needed to be done by humans...200 years or so after humans all the big structures would collapse like the statue of liberty and eiffel tower.. it was interesting tho.. electricity on the hoover damn was the last electricity to go... apparently that doesent need people to run it... i didnt know that..lol
Lol, @ B00, yea course the world would go on, but i meant in the fact that it would not be somewhere nice to live, cos the sound of children laughing is very special, the animals would be ok, but I would not want to live in a world without them special little things that drive us crackers but we would die for, :-)
and anyway cows would be exploding all over the place cos there udders would fill up till they were like barrage balloons cos we wouldn't have any farmers left to milk them .

Just come on here after being out in the garden with my grandsons. We moved some big stones and there were some frogs under them, my 19 month old grandson has been watching them hop around and giggling hysterically the way that babies do, you know when you all start laughing just at the sheer joy of hearing them laugh. A world without that sound? No thank you.
