i'm going to dye my hair a chocolate colour and would really like to know which are the best products to buy for the job.
(i'd love to get it done at the hairdressers but i don't have the money)

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I buy the dye from salon services and mix it up myself with the peroxide (really easy) works out at around �2 a pop and you can re-touch your roots whenever u like by only mixing a wee drop at a time

to be honest your best bet is to buy any of the semi permanent dyes in the shops. a permanent dye will make your hair feel very dry whereas a semi (26-28 washes) will leave your hair feeling soft silky and shiny. any hairdresser will or should not use a permanent dyr to colour your hair dark for this reason and the regrowth root touch up is just the same with a semi to a permanent. hope this helps.
