flight socks

i'm going abroad in july and thought about getting some of these. i had a DVT in my leg 8 years ago and worry constantly that i will get another. i just wondered if anyone had suffered a DVT and then gone on to use flight socks? also, are they tight? i worry when my legs feel tight.

I've had 3 DVT's in my leg so got some flight socks for when we went to the US. They did feel very tight but I think they're meant to, the main thing that worried me was at the top of them, where they sit just under your knee, they were so tight I could imagine them doing more harm than good. Sorry if this hasn't helped but if you do want to buy some they are �3.99 in Aldi at the moment.

I bought some for a recent long plane journey after a friend contracted DVT. I found them tighter than ordinary socks but not uncomfortably tight, more supportive, and after a short while I forgot I was wearing them at all

thanks for the answer, thats just what i meant! if they are so tight the idea they are doing more harm even though you know they are not. which is why i don't know if i'd prefer to not use them and just keep my feet moving. least i've booked an ailse seat. Poor you, 3? you must stress more than me!

thanks chazza too, its a scary thought getting a DVT more than anything i don't want to spend the holiday convinced i have one!
