Im 20 she is 16

Iv found myself falling for a 16 year old, is this bad? I want to ask her out but Im afarid of what the world and most importantly her Dad would say but if I wait untill she is older she might find someone. I dont know what to do.

I don't know what the legal age of consent is where you live, but as long as it's atleast 16 you should go for it. I wouldn't mention it to her dad just yet. Even if you were 16 too he still might have a fit! My husband and I met when I was 18 and he was 25. Someone else around here has the same story. Don't worry about other people now because one day you'll be 50 and she'll be 46 - and who's gonna care then?

There are three years between Mr woofgang and I...we met when I was 14 and dated "properly" when I was just 17. as yinzer says, "go for it", but take it easy, don't push things and show her dad you are not "just after one thing" even though (of course) that one thing forms a part of your interest!!

There is 18 years difference between my sister & brother-in-law. They have been married 50 years, have 4 children, grandchildren & lead a very active life together!

She would be pretty cool among her peers. Her friends would pair up with your friends - so they'll love you. All the 16 year old boys will loathe you. Let her worry about her dad. I don't think anyone else would bat an eyelid. If she has any younger brothers they will probably love you too, but you should maybe worry about older brothers.

Ohh ya I guess it does help that Iam pretty cool with her Brothers well two of them any ways the other one I havnt meet and he is one that worries me.

I was 15 when I was going out with a 19 year old which is the same age gap and when my dad found out he went mental at me and forbade me from seeing him. Was for my own interest I spose seeing as I soon worked out he was after just that one thing. Luckily I didn't give it to him!! I think my dad just went ballistic because I was only 15, if I was 16 things MAY have been different, but maybe not much.

Hey, I got together with my current partner when I was 16 and he was 19...so not much difference and noone batted an eyelid with us. Good luck to you - we only live life once so do what makes you happy :)

i went out with a twenty year old when i was sixteen and people seemed to be fine, though my dad was in denial that i even talked to boys. Don't break her heart though :(
