hobbles , (castrated males) usually cause fewer problems , but some of them , like castrated dogs , will persist in mounting and causing general aggrivation . Check the ferret's vulva for swelling , once swelling has gone down , this should be alright for them to be together , they do need to mate or she can become ill or even die , unmated Jill's will stay on heat longer than mated Jill's , check their vulva often . usually this will go on between April and May , although can run over past May for maybe a few weeks , any problems , please do not hesitate to ask . we will help as far possible .
